Our instructors

Chris Engle earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in 2013 and holds the distinction of being the first Cascão black belt in America. He founded the academy in 2012 and has led it ever since.

On the competition mats he is a Jiu-Jitsu World League Open champion and an IBJJF Las Vegas Open silver medalist, with a professional MMA record of 4-1, every win by submission. That experience shapes a curriculum built on technique that holds up under real pressure.

Mylene Engle began training in 2008 and received her black belt in 2017, becoming the first Cascão woman black belt in the world. She leads the core basics and kids programs.

A Pan American and World champion with numerous IBJJF Open titles, Mylene founded Rowdy Rollers, an all-women open mat that has become a home for women training Jiu-Jitsu across the valley.

Brandon Dabu is a 2nd-degree black belt who has been on the mats since 2008. He brings a deep martial arts foundation, with eleven years of Muay Thai kickboxing and five years of Shootwrestling.

A Combat Submission Wrestling certified level-one coach, Brandon helps students build well-rounded, practical skill across striking range and the ground.
